Greetings to all members of the Rotary Club of Pasig West on the occasion of its 18th Induction and Handover Ceremonies!
The Rotary year 2014-2015 has now drawn to a close, and it is my pleasure to offer my deepest gratitude to everyone who has contributed to a very successtul year.
It has truly been a challenging but productive year for RCPW. It is with great pride that I make special mention that several project initiatives of the club have been given official recognition and awards, a testament that the club has certainly made its mark in District 3800 this year. All these achievements could not have been possible if not for the tireless efforts and support of all our members.
I would also like to give a very special thanks to my Governor, DG Marilou Co, a true leader who certainly epitomized the "Light Up Rotary" theme, and has provided all of us the needed motivation and inspiration to achieve our goals.
And to all my BCP Classmates, I also give my thanks not just for the support but also for all the fun and camaraderie.
There are certainly still more challenges ahead, but under the able leadership of our new World Class President Fermin M. Diaz, RCPW will undoubtedly continue on its journey of service in the spirit of "Bayanihan"

2014 Project T.O.O.T.H.-A.I.C. (The Online Oral Treatments and Health Awareness Information Campaign)
T.O.O.T.H.-A.I.C., spearheaded by Dr. Charlie N. Atienza and the Rotary Club of Pasig West, is a digital public health advocacy project that aims to increase oral health awareness among Filipinos using the power of the internet and social media. The campaign addresses the alarming rates of dental caries and gum diseases in the Philippines, where up to 87% suffer from tooth decay, and only a small portion regularly visits dentists.
The initiative proposes creating an online platform (blog/website) written in Filipino, containing easy-to-understand content on common oral diseases, dental treatments, and preventive care. This site will be supported by active social media engagement, targeting at least 10,000 likes/followers, and will link to platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to maximize outreach.
The campaign also includes collaborations with dental professionals and students, online contests, and sponsorship opportunities to maintain and grow the platform. It is envisioned to be either a low-cost or fully volunteer-driven initiative and includes a scalable budget plan for both free-hosted and paid-hosting platforms.
Articles and educational materials already developed cover a wide range of topics such as proper denture care, oral health for diabetics, importance of baby teeth, oral cancer awareness, and guides on dental implants and veneers, all in the Filipino language to ensure accessibility.
