Discon 2015 Photo Exhibit Entry


The RCPW was one of the clubs of District 3800 that was able to submit an entry to the DISCON 2015 Photo Exhibit held at the Manila Hotel from March 20-21, 2015.  The Theme of the Photo Exhibit was: “ Light up Rotary, RID3800 Shines”.  The event was organized and headed by PP Dan Santos of the RC Pasig Sunrise.  RCPW's Entry centered on the use of the power of Social media as a means to help achieve the 6 Areas of Focus of Rotary International namely: Peace and Conflict Resolution, Disease Treatment and Prevention, Providing Clean Water and Sanitation, Child and Maternal Health, Supporting Education and Growing Local Economies.

Zone 6 ONE Pasig Rotary Day

The Zone 6  Rotary Clubs of ONE Pasig held a rotary day at the Rizal High School last Saturday November 15, 2014.  ONE Pasig consists of the 12 different clubs within Zone 6 of District 3800 including RCPW. The event was headed by RC Pasig's BCP Ramy Garcia.  The Rotary Day featured and offered a wide variety of free services for the different communities in Pasig including:  a job fair, medical consultations, ophthalmological services, dental extractions and oral prophylaxis, legal consultations, pet vaccinations, and wellness services.

RCPW and RC Pasig Sunrise, particularly the BC Presidents Charlie Atienza and FR Javier respectively, were tasked to organize the dental mission.   Most of the supplies, equipment and instruments for the dental mission were provided by the Pasig City Government through the efforts of RC Mutya ng Pasig's President Cathay Tech.  Volunteer dentists from the Pasig City dental health service and dental student volunteers headed by Dr. Magsino were present to provide the dental services.  Dr. Cheryl Aguila Valdez and RCPW Rtn. Dr. Cookie Somera were also some of the volunteer dentists present.

1st District 3800 Mass Induction



The 1st District 3800 Mass Induction was held last October 11, 2014 at the Kalayaan Hall of Club Filipino in Greenhills, San Juan. The event was hosted by RC Grace Park.  The inductee for RCPW was Dr. Corinne Somera Atienza (Dental Medicine).

District 3800 Oktoberfest 2014

The District 3800 Oktoberfest was held on Oct. 4, Sat, at the Valley Golf and Country Club, Antipolo City.  The event was hosted by RC Marikina West.  RCPW members who attended the event were:  PP Carol Entote, PP Vicky Dano, Rtn.  Cookie Atienza and BC Pres. Charlie Atienza.

District 3800 2nd Breakfast Meeting 2014

The District 3800 Second Breakfast Meeting hosted by Zone 4 was held on September 6, 2014 at the Valle Verde Country Club from 7:00 to 12:00PM.  The event was attended by BCP Charlie, Sp. Cookie and PP Viccres as one of the District Sgt.-at-Arms.

A Memorable Evening with Gary (RI President Gary Huang)

A Memorable Evening with Gary, a gathering of Rotary Leaders in the Philippines. The 10 Rotary Districts of the Philippines led by the Governors and Best Class Presidents welcomed Rotary International President Gary Huang at the Sofitel last August 22, 2014.  It was a night of Fellowship which also featured a Mass Induction of new Rotarians from the different districts of the Philippines.

Rotary Academy 101


The Rotary Academy 101 for Cluster 4 was held at the Department of Education last August 9 from 1 - 5 PM.  the event was hosted by San Juan East and Pasig South. BCP Charlie Atienza attended to represent RCPW in the said event.










Let's Read with Toy Library Program




 The "Let's Read with Toy Library Program" Zone 6 Project led by The Rotary Club of Pasig South, was launched on July 30, 2014 at the Buting Elementary School.  The project is funded by the District 3800 Fund.

1st District 3800 Breakfast Meeting 2014


The First Best Class Team Breakfast Meeting held at Valle Verde Country Club on July 12, 2014 from 7:30  to 12:00 PM.

The event was hosted by Zone 7. RC Pasig West Members who attended the event include BCP President Charlie Atienza with Sp. Cookie; and PP Vicky Dano, the District Membership Committee Coordinator for Zone 6

"Boat for Lives" Certificate of Appreciation

ROTARY INTERNATIONAL District 3800 presented this Certificate of Appreciation to
RC PASIG WEST  in grateful recognition of the Club’s selflessness through the generosity of Past President Caroline Entote,by providing financial support to the District Project “Boat for Lives” to help Super Typhoon Yolanda victims rehabilitate and recover their lives advancing the RI Theme: “Engage Rotary, Change Lives”.
The certificate was given on the 14th day of June 2014 during the DISTRICT AWARDS & RECOGNITION NIGHT at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Quezon City.

District 3800 Induction and Handover Ceremonies

The District 3800 Induction and Handover Ceremonies held on June 28, 2014 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel officially marked the beginning of the new term of the District Governor Marilou Co, as well as all the Best Class Presidents and officers of the District.  The Immediate Past District Governor Luizo Ticman was also given recognition for his achievements in leadership and service for the previous rotary year.

The Rotary Foundation Forum

The Rotary Foundation (TRF) Forum was held last May 10, 2014 at the QC Sports Club from 1:00 to 5:00 PM.

Members of RCPW who attended the forum were: CP Den Somera, PP Vicky Dano, PN Fermin Diaz, Dir. Seth Pangan and PE Charlie Atienza
